Description:

When the console software requests data from the appliance it sends SQL queries over port 3306 to a MySQL database located on the appliance. This database is used for tracking web vulnerabilities in a web site(s). The static database username and password has been located in several of the console software’s EXE and DLL files. Once the username and password is known, it can then be leveraged to retrieved data using a MySQL client, therefore subverting any sort of authentication the console software requires to access the data.

The static username and password is located in the files listed below:

WebDefend Enterprise Manager Appliance / Console software v5.0 (7.01.903)

gstdlibdll.dll

WebDefend Enterprise Manager Appliance / Console software v4.0 (6.45.659)

BEventViewer.dll
BGDConsole.exe
BGDReportsDataSource.dll
BPolicyDB.dll
BPolicyMgr.dll
BProfileMgr.dll
BReportsDll.dll
BReportsSvc.exe
BSystemConfigMgr.dll
BXTPExtension.dll
GSGridCtrl.dll
GSTuningDlgs.dll
bstdlibdll.dll
galsapidll.dll
gsessionsdll.dll
gspclientdll.dll
gspstd.dll
gstdlibdll.dll
test_apiex.exe

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
3.
